- Can I have a free trial? Free trials are only available for MAT classes and there are SET DATES for the free classes. If you are a NEW client who would like to try a MAT class, there will be one free class at the end of each school term, dates will be released two weeks before the end of each school term. Free trials are also available if you have a Free Class Pass (bring it to class, make sure your name is written on it).
- Can I purchase more than one PAYG MAT or STUDIO class? Yes, you can purchase a pack of 5 classes to be used casually. When purchasing this pack Better Pilates cannot guarantee you a spot in the same class every week. These packs have a 6 months expiry date.
- How can I pay for my class/classes? You don't need to pay ahead of your first class, simply select BOOK without paying before your class.
If you try one class and want to commit to more classes we will bundle the classes for the remaining of the school term or if you decide not to continue you will be charged PAYG fees for your class at the end of the class. You can pay by tapping after your class (2% surcharge applies) or by direct debit if you decide to come back and purchase several classes (no surcharge). - What happens if I want to purchase MAT or STUDIO classes but it is already mid school term or I'm planning to leave for a planned holiday and cannot make it to all classes? If you are joining mid term you have the option of purchasing 5 CASUAL classes or a bundle of classes. If you cannot commit to a full school term you will only be charged for a partial term an the number of classes you will attend. Partial terms bundles are pre-paid. Please refer to pricing to find how much they cost. Better Pilates will guarantee your spot in the class every week if you purchase a bundle of classes. Bundled classes are cheaper than PAYG and CASUAL classes therefore they need to be used by the end of the school term you have purchased.
- What if I have purchased MAT or STUDIO classes for a full term or to be used within a school term and I'm sick or unable to attend some classes? At Better Pilates we love our clients and we want to support you. If you have purchased a full term or a bundle of classes at once to be used within the school term and you miss some classes (in the same school term) you can come to make up classes (subject to availability).
- I have purchased a bundle of MAT or STUDIO classes for a school term. I cannot make it to the scheduled day I normally have my class, can I come another day in the week? Yes you can, depending on availability. Better Pilates reserves a spot for each client in a class for a specific day of the week agreed by the client and Better Pilates. We understand that if you have missed your weekly class you would like to come to another class during the same week and we will try to accommodate your request but we cannot guarantee you a spot in the same week, we will do our best to make sure you will catch up with the classes you have missed before the end of the school term you have purchased.
- If I can't make it to the catch up classes can I move the classes to the following term? This option is only available when purchasing packs of 5 CASUAL classes (expiry 6 months), All other bundled classes purchased for a full school term or partial school term must be used within the same school term.
- What if I have purchased a full term and cannot make it any longer, can I have my money back? We cannot refund you but if you have paid for a full term and missed or cannot attend more than 6 class you can pause and reschedule these classes to the following term or give the classes to somebody else.
- Can I book a STUDIO GROUP if I'm a new client? If you are a new client will need to book at least one PRIVATE STUDIO class before joining a STUDIO GROUP class. This will give Better Pilates the chance to assess your level of fitness and a chance for you to become familiar with the equipment.
- Is there a late cancellation fee if I have purchased a bundle of classes and cannot make it to class? No, no cancellation fee is applied to pre-paid full or partial school term bundled classes. Please give Better Pilates as much notice as possible if you can't make it to your scheduled class.
- Is there a late cancellation fee for PAYG and CASUAL classes? Yes, if you cancel your PAYG or CASUAL class with less than 6 hours notice there will be a $10 fee for MAT classes and $20 fee for STUDIO classes.
- Can I still come to class if I have an injury? This will depend on the type of injury. You may need to get a doctor/GP certificate before you attend. Please let us know if you have any injuries before participating in a class.
- Can I still come to a MAT class if I'm pregnant? If you are more than 14 weeks pregnant, if you are less than 14 week pregnant and in pain or are having complications you CANNOT join a general MAT class. Instead you CAN join a STUDIO class where you will be working out supported by the equipment and closely monitored by your instructor. If you are less than 14 week pregnant and you are feeling well, with no complications and no pain in your body and you have done Pilates in the past, you will be welcome to join a general MAT class (there will be contraindications and precautions for some exercises).
- What if I'm sick with a cough, can I still come to class? No. In class we may have clients that are immunocompromised so staying home and resting when sick is best.
- What should I bring to class? Wear comfortable clothing, bring a bottle of water and Pilates socks to the STUDIO classes.
- Do you provide yoga mats to the MAT classes? Yes we do but if you prefer to bring your own please do so.
- Do you use props in your MAT CLASSES? Yes, we use Pilates balls, magic circles, therabands, foam rollers, yoga blocks and sliders.
